Official Rules

The California Lottery (Lottery) is conducting the Fantasy 5 BONUS BUCKS Promotion as a purchase incentive bonus to players for every $5 spent in a single Fantasy 5 transaction. This promotion will be in effect from July 5, 2010 to June 30, 2012. The Lottery reserves the right to terminate or extend this promotion at any time.

Prizes

Three (3) winners of $10,000 and twelve (12) winners of $1,000 for each BONUS BUCKS drawing.

How to Enter

All players who purchase $5 or more in a single Fantasy 5 transaction during the promotional period will receive a 2nd Chance Entry Code for every $5 spent. A player can receive up to ten (10) online entry codes in a single Fantasy 5 transaction. Players may enter as many eligible online entry codes as they have in any one week. Online entry codes can only be entered online at www.calottery.com/FAN5 for a weekly BONUS BUCKS drawing for cash prizes. No mail-in entries will be accepted.

Advance Plays will be eligible for BONUS BUCKS drawings that occur during the promotional period if the initial purchase of the Advance Plays occurs after the promotion begins. The odds of winning vary based on the total number of entries that are received for a drawing, the total number of prizes awarded for each draw and the total number of entries an individual has submitted. Players may win more than one cash prize in each drawing.

How to Win

All entries submitted to www.calottery.com/FAN5 between 12:00 a.m. PT Sunday through 11:59 p.m. PT Saturday are eligible for the drawing in the week in which the entry is made. Entry deadlines and details will be posted on www.calottery.com/FAN5. Entry deadlines are subject to change. Winners will receive an email notification from the Lottery alerting them to log-in to www.calottery.com/FAN5 where they will see a winner notification message. Winners must submit a Winner Claim Form in accordance with Lottery Regulations and procedures.

The names of winners from each drawing will be posted on the Lottery’s website. Winners for each drawing will be posted by Friday at 5:00p.m. Pacific Time for the previous week’s drawing.

Drawings

Drawings will take place within three (3) business days of the entry deadline. Five (5) alternate winners will be chosen in the event a selected entry is not valid. Entries are eligible for only one BONUS BUCKS drawing.

Eligibility and Participation

Participation is open to persons 18-years of age and older. Participants must meet eligibility requirements at the time of promotion drawing. If the draws fall within the official promotion period AND the originating wager was purchased after the promotion begins, Second Chance Entry Code Vouchers will print and are eligible for online entry only. This promotion is not open to certain Lottery vendors or employees of the California Lottery, their agents, and their family members residing in the same household.

Additional Terms

Participants are responsible for complying with these Official Rules in addition to state and federal law and applicable California Lottery Regulations. Proof of age, eligibility, and identity must be furnished upon request. Participants agree to the use of their name, likeness, and hometown for advertising and publicity purposes, without compensation. All taxes are the responsibility of the winner. By participating in the promotion, and/or accepting any prize or promotional award, participants agree to and do release and hold harmless the California Lottery and its employees, agents, and officers from any claim, demand, judgment, award, and/or any liability of any kind whatsoever. These Official Rules supersede, to the extent of any conflict, any applicable general rules or advertisements of the California Lottery.
